Food Drive
This season, our studio held a food drive that collected over 50 lbs. of food, various hygiene items and $20 in donations. This benefited Hunger, Inc. in Indianapolis. Great job everyone!

Jr. All-State
Congrats to Nate S. from Fall Creek Valley MS for making the Indiana Bandmasters Association Jr. All-State Band. Nate will rehearse and perform with the band, along with a downtown stay, in January. We're very proud of you Nate!

Welcome Drew Baya!
Jeff and Sandy Appel would like to welcome their daughter, Drew Baya Appel to the world! Drew was born at 12:31 pm on 11/5/09. She is 7 lbs. 13 ounces and 20.5 inches long. Both mom and Drew are very happy and healthy!

Star United wins 4th National Championship!
For the 3rd consecutive season, Mr. Appel has participated as a baritone player with Star United, a mini-corps, based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Star United competed in the Drum Corps Associates mini-corps competition on Friday, September 4th. This marked their 4th consecutive national championship. More can be found on youtube and the Star United website.

...who is passionate about music. He has taught privately for ten years, been a brass instructor with the Blue Stars drum and bugle corps and has years of experience as a band director. "Watching students achieve is one of my biggest satisfactions in life. I hope all kids get the opportunity to have tailored, individualized, QUALITY music education."
Mr. Appel is/has been a member of Music Teachers National Association, International Trombone Association, Indiana Bandmasters Association, Music Educators National Conference and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
